Operation of credit on security

What a credit on security:

The credit on security is the commitment of a bank to pay an amount defined in the supplier of goods or a service, against the handing-over, within a given period of time, enumerated documents which prove that the goods were dispatched or that the services or services carried out. These documents will be then transmitted by the bank to the purchaser against refunding, so that this last can take possession of the goods. Thus the purchaser does not transmit none funds to the salesman as long as it did not receive the documents to take possession of the goods, and the salesman receives the payment as soon as it dispatched it, for little that the documentary obligations were respected
