3 Questions to CrossLog

BANSARD INTERNATIONAL: Hello Alain, thank you for receiving us on the eve of the next Paris Retail Week, a major e-commerce event in Europe, for which you and your team will be present on the 10th, 11th and 12th of September at Porte de Versailles in Paris!

Alain SEBBAN: Absolutely! Our team will be present and available during the entire exhibition, we will be at the booth V044.

BANSARD INTERNATIONAL.: This is an opportunity for us to focus on Crosslog International, subsidiary of the Bansard International group, specialized in Supply Chain management and to highlight the e-commerce and e-logistics sectors currently expanding strongly. In your opinion, what are the main trends and innovations in your market?

Alain SEBBAN: There are 3 main trends in our market:

  • First of all, in the retail market, there is a merger between classical physical commerce and connected e-commerce. This merger is accompanied by new omnichannel logistics solutions, such as click & collect (ie. the possibility of withdrawing orders directly from stores) or the ship-from-store (sending orders to the customers from the shop) or the ship from store (sending orders to the customer from the shop). The stakes for brands is to get a close proximity to the end-users and a greater flexibility through pooling of warehouse, shop stocks and web .
  • The second evolution is the rising expectations and methods of transport. The customer must be able to decide until the last moment if he wants to be delivered at this place, at a neighbor's, at the office, in a Pick-up & go location or in one of the brand stores. For the same delivery, transport solutions are no longer exclusive but alternative.
  • The third trend is the result of the first two: the need for innovative IT tools to drive logistics and transport flows, more and more complex. Those tools must be able to analyze large amounts of data and finally communicate in the most consistent and proactive way with the consumer. Digital tools and information systems are at the heart of the logistical revolution that is now facilitating the new modes of consumption.

BANSARD INTERNATIONAL.:  What are the characteristics of the solution that Crosslog International offer and who is it for?

Alain SEBBAN: Our solution is not exclusively a logistics and transport solution but it is also a digital solution. Our CrossDesk tool is a software embedded in the operating system of our customers; designed to meet the needs of connected and omnichannel commerce, it also offers innovative communication solutions with the end customers, including e-consumers. This management tool has been developed internally, it is the result of years of development and adaptation to the needs of our customers, we dedicate a full-time R&D team to face and meet the market changes.

The ambition of our solution is to address a wider audience, from the entrepreneur launching its online sales site to brands having an omnichannel strategy, both nationally and/or internationally, to support them at each stage of their development.

BANSARD INTERNATIONAL:  What does the Paris Retail Week represent for your activity?

ALAIN SEBBAN: Paris Retail Week is the flagship event of the year to meet the e-commerce galaxy and to be able to have discussions with many professionals on the stakes and evolutions of the future connected commerce in a friendly and professional framework. Come and visit us!
